Alphabet set of 179 pieces of bone, each approx. 15 x 18 mm., letters incised and filled in with black ink by hand; original cedar box with 18 internal compartments and a sliding lid, 256 x 153 mm.; the set in fine, original condition.
A fine, early alphabet set, consisting of rectangular bone letter tiles in a well made wooden box; used in education and for drawing-room word games.
